Hon. Chief Minister of Rajasthan and Mr. Azim Premji, Chairman, Wipro
Enterprises inaugurate the 6th Wipro Hydraulics facility in India
Wipro Hydraulics, the
hydraulic cylinders and components manufacturing business of Wipro
Infrastructure Engineering, today announced the launch of its
state-of-the-art-facility in Mahindra World City, Jaipur. This is Wipro’s first
hydraulics manufacturing facility in Northern India, delivering hydraulic
cylinders to customers worldwide.
The plant was inaugurated
by Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, Honourable Chief Minister of Rajasthan, and Mr. Azim
Premji, Chairman, Wipro Enterprises, along with Mr. Deepak Shetty, CEO &
MD, JCB India and Mr. Pratik Kumar, CEO, Wipro Infrastructure Engineering &
MD, Wipro Enterprises.
The company has invested
approximately INR 250 crores to set up this facility, which is projected to
generate around approximately 400 jobs. This cutting-edge manufacturing
facility is equipped with all the critical-to-quality processes under one roof
and is designed to meet the stringent requirements of our global customers.
Speaking at the launch, Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, the Honourable
Chief Minister of Rajasthan, said, “Today, Rajasthan is attracting

inauguration of the facility, Pratik

expansion will further strengthen our presence in key growth markets and enable
us to respond more swiftly and flexibly to customer demands.”

hiring, we have also invested in the WINGS Scholarship program in Jaipur which
supports young women to pursue diploma courses in engineering.”
The new facility is
equipped with next-generation technology, including automated production lines,
robotic arms, highly advanced paint line and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) for
material movement. We also have built in advanced laser beam and IR sensors for
improvement in safety and quality in the processes.
With the addition of its first manufacturing facility in North India, Wipro Hydraulics now has a manufacturing footprint across four cities in India: Jaipur, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hindupur (Andhra Pradesh), dedicated to producing hydraulic cylinders with a total of 16 facilities globally.
