TKIL
Industries Pvt. Ltd. (formerly thyssenkrupp Industries India Pvt. Ltd.), a
leading player in industrial engineering and manufacturing, has announced a
strategic partnership with 2G Energy International GmbH, Germany’s
internationally renowned manufacturer of Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plants
and Gas Engines. This collaboration will strengthen 2G Energy’s presence in
India and position TKIL Industries as the gateway to cutting-edge
hydrogen-ready CHP’s and Gas Engines for Power Generation (100% H2 Ready),
enabling Indian industries to accelerate their clean energy transition.
With
efficiencies of up to 98%, and compatibility with biogas, natural gas, flare
gas, syngas and even 100% hydrogen, 2G’s CHP solutions are designed to support
industrial decarbonization at scale. By harnessing waste heat recovery during
power generation, these systems significantly reduce energy losses, making them
ideal for India’s energy-intensive sectors such as cement, sugar, steel, and
paper.
Mr. Vivek Bhatia, MD & CEO, TKIL Industries, said
“At TKIL Industries, we are committed to enabling India’s industries to
transition towards cleaner and more efficient energy systems. Our partnership
with 2G Energy will significantly strengthen the adoption of globally proven,
hydrogen-ready CHP technology in India. This is not just a step forward for our
business, it is a step forward for India’s decarbonization goals, offering
industries solutions that balance sustainability with operational efficiency.”
This
partnership comes at a pivotal moment, as India’s renewable energy capacity has
reached 234.24 GW, with the nation advancing toward its 2030 target of 500 GW
from non-fossil sources.
