Hindalco Industries Limited, a global leader in
aluminum and copper, and a flagship company of the Aditya Birla Group, has
awarded Metso an order for the delivery of engineering and key equipment for a
new precious metals refinery to be built in the State of Gujarat in India. The
new state-of-the-art precious metals refinery plant will be associated with the new e-waste recycling plant. Commissioning is expected to take place within two
years.
The Metso scope of delivery consists of a KaldoTM
furnace with off-gas handling and silver refining equipment. Metso will also
deliver basic engineering for the precious metals refinery. The order value,
which is not disclosed, is booked in the Minerals segment’s fourth-quarter 2024
orders received.
