Jindal Stainless bags prestigious five-star rating from British Safety Council for occupational health and safety

Hisar unit of Jindal Stainless has added another feather to its cap, receiving the five-star rating for Occupational Health and Safety from the British Safety Council. This recognition demonstrates the company’s dedication to creating a safe and healthy work environment for its employees. 

Mr Abhyuday Jindal, Managing Director of Jindal Stainless, voiced his pride in the accomplishment, noting, “Achieving a five-star rating from the British Safety Council is a significant honour and a reflection of our continuous efforts to foster a safe working environment. Our focus on safety goes beyond mere compliance; it is about embedding safety into the fabric of our operations.”

The five-star rating, awarded after an exhaustive review by the British Safety Council, is a reflection of Jindal Stainless’ adherence to the highest standards in health and safety management. The audit process included a thorough evaluation of the company’s safety policies, procedures, and practices, as well as interviews with senior management and employees, and on-site inspections.

Jindal Stainless' Hisar plant was previously recognized as the first in India to achieve ISO certification for energy management. Earlier this year the plant won the International Safety Award from the British Safety Council for the fifth consecutive year.
