The government plans to
develop 'plug and play' industrial parks in or near 100 cities, partnering with
states and the private sector. During her Budget Speech on July 23, 2024,
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced these parks would use advanced
town planning schemes. Part of the National Industrial Corridor Development
Programme, the initiative aims to attract investments, create jobs, and
stimulate economic activity. These parks will provide high-quality, reliable,
sustainable, and resilient infrastructure to support a robust manufacturing
