Mumbai-Pune Expressway Missing Link gets India-first advanced crash barrier systems installed by Godrej Enterprises Group and DELTABLOC®
Enhancing road safety on one of Maharashtra’s most critical transport corridors
Godrej
Enterprises Group has installed India’s first advanced precast concrete crash
barrier system on the Mumbai–Pune Expressway Missing Link project with
DELTABLOC®, a global leader in vehicle restraint systems headquartered in
Austria.
The Missing
Link project is a landmark infrastructure development undertaken by the
Maharashtra Governments MSRDC. It is designed to improve connectivity, reduce
travel time and enhance road safety on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. Godrej has deployed the globally proven DELTABLOC® systems
that meet stringent international safety standards, including the European
Standards EN 1317. It is engineered to provide high containment levels
as per design standards, and redirect impacting vehicles, absorb collision
forces and reduce the risk of severe injury to vehicle occupants in the event
of accidents. Designed for demanding road conditions and high-speed corridors,
these road crash barrier systems have been installed across more than 45
countries.
