Hyundai and Tata Power create EV fast-charging infrastructure.
60 kW DC charging stations will be placed at the company's 34 EV stores in 29 locations. Hyundai Motor India has partnered with Tata Power to provide rapid charging stations for electric vehicles at certain dealerships.
60 kW DC charging stations will be deployed at the company's 34 EV stores in 29 cities via Hyundai and Tata Power EZ Charge Mobile App. Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) MD & CEO Unsoo Kim stated in a statement, "The business is happy to announce its cooperation with Tata Power to enable and build India's strong EV ecosystem and boost the perspective on sustainable transportation.”
Strategic alliances are key to driving consumer adoption of EVs to reach carbon neutrality, he said.
"This agreement will power-up the nation's electric mobility objective by enabling end-to-end EV charging infrastructure at corporate dealerships and home charging for HMIL EV consumers," Kim said.
Hyundai EV customers will be provided end-to-end home charging options, from supplies to installation. The carmaker offers Kona Electric. IONIQ 5 will be released during festival season. The business has committed Rs 4,000 crore to grow its BEV line-up to six vehicles by 2028.
Tata Power MD and CEO Praveer Sinha remarked, "Our partnership with Hyundai Motor India matches with the government's National Electric Mobility Mission Plan" Expertise in EV charging, extensive charging options, and widespread ownership of Hyundai cars would assist establish sustainable transportation infrastructure, he noted. Tata Power will handle and manage the charging stations at Hyundai dealerships.
