Crisil Forecasts a 35% Surge in Investment for Road and Green Energy Infrastructure
In a significant revelation, Crisil, the renowned rating agency, has projected a remarkable 35% increase in capital expenditure for road infrastructure and renewable energy in India. This surge, estimated at Rs. 13 lakh crore over the current and upcoming fiscal years, is attributed to robust project execution, favorable policy initiatives, sound financial leverage, and heightened investor interest. The report highlights that road construction is set to accelerate by 25%, with an expected annual mileage of 12,500-13,000 km, owing to the healthy pace of project awards and swift project execution by road contractors.
