Union Transport Ministry Announces New Road Connectivity Project
The Union transport ministry plans to establish a 32-kilometer road
connecting Noida International Airport (Jewar) and Indira Gandhi International
(IGI) Airport. The project, estimated at Rs 3,000 crore, aims to enhance travel
efficiency and complement the upcoming Metro Rail system. It will integrate
with the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and include a six-lane expressway to
facilitate smoother transportation. A ground transportation center (GTC) near
Jewar airport is also proposed for seamless integration of various transportation
modes.
