Jewar Airport will have an integrated multimodal cargo hub built by Air India SATS-Zurich Airport to interconnect UP to the rest of India
In collaboration with Zurich Airport, Air India SATS, the ground handling services division of Air India, would build an integrated multimodal cargo hub at the future Jewar airport in Uttar Pradesh. Every area of Uttar Pradesh will be connected by Air India to the rest of India and maybe to significant international locations. Tata Group's steel, automotive, retail, finance, and power companies are already well-represented in Uttar Pradesh. According to N Chandrasekaran, chairman of the Tata Group, Uttar Pradesh is "absolutely well poised" to grow to a trillion-dollar economy by the time India reaches USD 5 trillion and then again to a USD 2 trillion economy by the time India reaches USD 10 trillion.
