YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister, has directed officials to closely monitor the construction of houses, for which the State government has already spent Rs 5,655 crore in the current fiscal year. He emphasised the importance of maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in order to ensure quality in house construction. The government's main goal is to provide shelter for all people who do not own homes, and basic infrastructure such as drinking water, drainage systems, and electricity should be developed in all layouts by the time construction is finished.
