Manitou Group Unveils 2026–2030 CSR Roadmap with New Sustainability Commitments
Fifth
edition of ‘On the Way Up’ reviews 2021–2025 progress and introduces the
group’s new CSR Lens roadmap through 2030
Nantes,
France: Manitou
Group, a global manufacturer of material handling, aerial work platform and
earthmoving equipment, has presented the fifth edition of its annual “On the
Way Up” broadcast, outlining the company's sustainability priorities and
its new 2026–2030 CSR Lens roadmap.
Hosted
live from the Jules Verne Technological Research Institute (IRT) in Nantes,
the event brought together Manitou Group leadership, experts and members of its
global ecosystem. The broadcast was followed across nearly 40 countries
and focused on the role of sustainability in the company's business strategy
and long-term performance.
87% of 2021–2025 CSR Targets Achieved
The first
part of the broadcast reviewed the company's previous 2021–2025 CSR roadmap
and introduced the new strategy.
According
to Aude Brézac, VP CSR, Manitou Group, the company achieved 87% of
the targets established under the previous roadmap. The programme
contributed to initiatives covering decarbonisation, circular economy,
workplace safety and value-chain management, while also supporting a
broader shift in sustainability practices across the organisation.
Sylvain
Blaise, President & CEO, Manitou Group, emphasised the role of corporate responsibility
in guiding the company's decisions amid changing market and business
conditions.
Collaboration Across the Value Chain
The
broadcast also highlighted the importance of collaboration with employees,
suppliers, dealers, customers and external experts in addressing sustainability
challenges.
Neuroscientist
Samah Karaki discussed how organisations respond to uncertainty and
encouraged businesses to distinguish between risk and uncertainty, experiment
rather than rely solely on prediction, and distribute strategic thinking across
different levels of an organisation.
A field
documentary featuring Manitou Group's global ecosystem showcased perspectives
from suppliers, factories, dealers and customers.
The
programme also featured Jean Zanuttini, President and Founder of Neoline,
whose company is developing sailing-powered cargo ships aimed at reducing
carbon emissions from maritime transport. Neoline's project targets an 80%
reduction in carbon emissions, according to the company.
Four Priorities for 2030
The third
section of the broadcast introduced Manitou Group's 2030 sustainability
vision, with Aude Brézac and Hervé Rochet, Chief Transformation &
Governance Officer, outlining four core commitments under the new CSR Lens
roadmap:
- Resource use and circularity
- Climate commitment
- Human potential
- Trust and collaboration
The roadmap
is intended to integrate sustainability more closely into Manitou Group's
business operations, product development and decision-making processes.
Brézac
said the company views CSR as a means of rethinking how it operates and
creating opportunities for sustainable innovation through concrete actions
across the organisation.
Sustainability as Part of Long-Term Strategy
Closing
the broadcast, Sylvain Blaise reiterated the role of sustainability and
corporate responsibility within Manitou Group's broader LIFT strategy.
The
company said its new 2026–2030 roadmap is intended to strengthen resilience,
support innovation and integrate sustainability considerations more deeply into
its operations and relationships across the value chain.
The fifth
edition of “On the Way Up” therefore marks both the conclusion of
Manitou Group's previous CSR roadmap and the beginning of its next phase of
sustainability initiatives through 2030.
