In collaboration with Pi Green Innovations, Kohler India has announced the introduction of a revolutionary clean air solution for its diesel generators. It is a unique product which suits all kinds of site installation. This Retrofit Emission Control Device (RECD) reduces particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10) emissions from diesel generators using the Electrostatic Precipitation principle. This is a filter-less technology which is highly efficient in capturing particulate matter from diesel generator exhaust and consequently improves ambient air quality.

The KOHLER RECD also enables customers to ensure their existing KOHLER diesel generators comply with the current National Green Tribunal’s Order 681/2018.

In addition to compliance with the latest requirements for air quality, the KOHLER RECD solution offers customers several other significant benefits. Its RECD produces uniquely low back pressure compared to conventional solutions and it has no impact on diesel generator operational efficiency and reliability. It is suitable for wide duty cycle conditions of in-use diesel generator sets and features a simple but tough all-weather design. The KOHLER RECD also offers low operating costs in terms of energy use and consumables.
