Terex India is pleased to announce the launch of Powerscreen Pulse™—an industry-leading telemetry platform as standard across its Powerscreen® range of crushing and screening equipment produced at its manufacturing facility in Hosur, India.

The innovative telematics platform transforms the way Powerscreen customers can work with their equipment, ultimately to improve their crushing and screening operation.

DETAILED INSIGHTS TO MACHINE PERFORMANCE

Using Powerscreen Pulse, Terex India customers gain deeper insights into how their machines and entire fleets are performing through dynamic, intuitive dashboards, filters and custom reports on the health and productivity of their equipment. No matter where Powerscreen customers are in the world, they can stay on top of production by accessing this accurate up-to-date information from their PC, tablet or smartphone.

Key pieces of data that Powerscreen Pulse provides include cost analyses of fuel/throughput (i.e. cost per tonne), tonnages, maintenance status, monitoring of the machine operation (i.e. identify any misuse or abuse), utilisation trends and comparison, and machine location, which is particularly for rental fleets.

MEANINGFUL, ACTIONABLE DATA

Data is great, but real value is created when data is transformed into actionable information. Rather than to inundate customers with meaningless data, Powerscreen Pulse has a dedicated technical support team on hand to support customers with the data. Additionally, the Powerscreen Pulse system has been continually developed and refined to get the system to provide the type of information customers wants in a format that enables them to interpret and use the data. For example, Powerscreen Pulse displays information clearly for at a glance metrics and diagnostics so that equipment owners can take action before damage occurs: predetermined maintenance intervals are signalled and error messages are displayed in plain text messages.

Amol Sinha, General Manager - Product Support & Training, Terex India said, “As crushing equipment operates in challenging and often remote work environments, telematics enables equipment owners to stay connected and keep track of their equipment. This pro-active use of Powerscreen Pulse provides the ability for the Terex India team to communicate and collaborate with our distributors and customers, using the transparency of the machine data to; see how and where their machines are being operated, carry out fault-finding activities to ensure optimised performance/mitigate downtime, drive operational improvement, reduce idle time, and understand fuel consumption to drive a more fuel-efficient operation.

The power of the Powerscreen Pulse platform combined with service provided by our dedicated technical support team at Terex India results in significant financial gains and better return on investment for our customers.”

The extension of Powerscreen Pulse to equipment manufactured at Hosur will broaden Powerscreen's telematics offering to new geographies for its crushing and screening equipment including India, and various other Asian, African and Middle Eastern countries as well as Australia.
