EXCON-Understanding what customers do allows you to predict what they will do next.

How was your experience at Excon 2019 held at Bangalore?
The entire duration of the expo was a success. We had a good number of visitors to our stall. We have launched our new products such as Pneumatic needle vibrators , Electronic Convertors , and other industrial vibrators for Construction; Concreting and Precasting Industries and most of our OEM / End users and Channel partners have appreciated our new product portfolio. Hence it has been a successful participation for us.

How did you find the over-all arrangements:
The overall management of the Exhibition centre was good. We appreciate the efforts of the organisers. They have done a commendable job. We only have a suggestion to have better control of Traffic especially during peak hours and during the evening hours after the exhibition timings are over.

How was the response for your product/ services you displayed:
The overall response to our stall during the exhibition time was very good. A few Order bookings in the stall also had taken place.

OLI Group has their strong R&D in Italy which is fully focused towards technology and innovation and there is a continuous effort to upgrade our products.
Apart from this , our dedicated team in India with the technical support  team in Italy , OLI India had developed a few new products for certain key OEM's and all have been appreciated by them.

In terms of performance, how has 2019 been as a year?
In 2019 we have had a reasonable  growth  despite the economic slow down in 2019 particularly in the  industrial sectors such as the construction, infrastructure and mining sectors. Despite the economic slow down we would have had great movements with double digit growths. Hopefully if the investments made by the government in this segment, then there is a strong possibility that the double digit growths will continue.

How do you handle this psyche of the market?
I agree that the market is price sensitive however being the leader in the industry, we are trend setters and not followers. We stick to our innovative and technologically advanced products by educating our customers about the benefits of having the latest technology. Our products are known for high performance and it is all about giving the best quality product.

What are your expectations from Excon 2019?
We use this as a platform as a launch pad for our products as we have been doing and are associated with Excon for so many years. We have also been getting a good response and did good business through this exhibition. Our image is getting built on Pan India.

What is your outlook about the market in 2020?
Till 2018 the construction equipment market has been growing at a rate of 20 per cent across all verticals. According to a report by Off Highway research and other eminent people , there will be a dip in 2020 growth. We believe in that report and are preparing ourselves on those lines. In 2018 the market grew about 20 per cent.  This year due to economic slow down , the growth might not be upwards but keeping in view the ongoing projects there might not be negative growth either thereby keeping it constant.
