Mr. Rajeev Choubey

Managing Director, Rajmani Castings Private Limited

Looking back at the recent exhibition season and the heavy equipment sector's focus on structural durability, how valuable are large physical trade shows for showcasing Ni-Hard castings, abrasion-resistant wear parts, and specialized SG iron components directly to construction machinery manufacturers and plant operators?

Rajmani Castings: Physical trade shows offer an invaluable platform to display our high-performance wear components directly to original equipment manufacturers, batching plant operators, and heavy contractors. When industry professionals step up to our booth, they want to inspect the structural density of our Ni-Hard segments, evaluate the surface finish of our SG iron parts, and physically verify the robustness of our mix-action spares. Face-to-face interaction establishes a level of technical trust and metallurgical confidence that digital catalogs simply cannot match.

When speaking with concrete batching plant owners, asphalt plant managers, and equipment maintenance contractors on the ground, what were the most persistent operational hurdles, premature abrasion bottlenecks, or wear-part failure challenges they brought up regarding aggressive mixing and crushing cycles?

Rajmani Castings: The most frequent challenge our team hears about is the rapid, premature abrasion of mixing arms, liners, and paddles caused by abrasive aggregates, high-cement content mixes, and relentless continuous-duty cycles. Plant operators are constantly worried about unexpected component failures during peak construction seasons when machinery uptime is critical. They need rugged, highly durable wear parts that can withstand severe friction and impact without requiring constant mid-season replacements.

With India's rapid infrastructure expansion, concrete production scaling up, and heavy machinery enduring continuous work cycles under severe abrasive conditions, how have customer expectations shifted over recent years, particularly regarding the move toward higher-grade alloyed castings, extended component lifespans, and reduced maintenance downtime?

Rajmani Castings: Customer expectations have shifted significantly away from standard low-alloy components toward specialized, high-integrity metallurgical grades. Gone are the days when generic cast iron was considered sufficient for grueling batching and crushing environments. Today, plant managers and equipment builders demand certified Ni-Hard alloys, high-strength SG iron, and custom-engineered wear plates that deliver extended service intervals and drastically reduce maintenance overhead.

Beyond conventional grey iron casting, advanced metallurgy including Ni-Hard grades, ductile SG iron, precise induction melting, and rigorous foundry practices are rapidly changing how equipment reliability is secured. How is Rajmani Castings incorporating specialized alloy engineering and quality control to help operators withstand extreme industrial wear?

Rajmani Castings: We focus heavily on advanced metallurgical control, utilizing precision induction melting equipment alongside stringent foundry practices like inoculation, mold painting, and exothermic sleeves to eliminate casting defects. By engineering precise material grades—ranging from abrasion-resistant Ni-Hard to high-strength SG iron (such as S50 and WP100 grades)—we ensure our components deliver superior hardness and toughness. Our application-oriented approach means we work closely with clients to match the exact alloy to their operating environment.

Looking toward the rest of the year following the excitement of the exhibition season, what new wear part lines, specialized casting configurations, or manufacturing capacity expansions is Rajmani Castings most excited to roll out for the construction and heavy machinery sector?

Rajmani Castings: For the remainder of the year, we are focused on expanding our specialized product lines for concrete batching plants—including custom replacement parts compatible with leading OEMs like Schwing, Conmat, and Sicoma—while scaling up our overall foundry throughput. We are introducing enhanced high-temperature and corrosion-resistant alloy variants to help our clients tackle even more aggressive industrial applications. Ultimately, our mission is to empower the infrastructure sector by delivering precision-engineered, exceptionally durable casting solutions that our partners can rely on.
